Phil Mickelson has been known to take risks from time to time.
So asking for advice from a young golf fan seems about right for him.
While playing at the Dell Technologies Championship, Mickelson asked a kid if he’d go for the green out of the rough or layup. His answer is perfect:
Phil asked this youngster a question.
And got an honest answer. “If I could hit my 3-wood 260, I would probably go for it.”
Well played, young man. And it would appear that Mickelson did go for it with a 3-wood and liked the result.
“Riley,” he addressed the boy, “you can caddie for me anytime.”
